The Therapeutic Process

Consultation

I offer an initial free no obligation telephone consultation. It is here that we can each get to meet and ask important questions; discuss concerns, discuss our terms of agreement, and importantly are we a suitable fit for one another.

Treatment

The main body so to speak is the focus of intervention, how will we target the problem of concern, both together in session and, implementing this into your daily practise

Assessment

Following consultation, we would proceed with an assessment; a thorough understanding of developmental history and the issues of concern. This is a dynamic process, often requiring formulation and review, if one is to fully benefit from the counselling process

Review and Ending

Throughout the therapeutic process we will monitor and review outcomes; what is helping or importantly what is not helping? Also supporting the process, working toward saying goodbye; Planning and questioning You going it alone!

Prices

Sadly, money has to come into the equation. However, I wish to point out that there is often a more difficult price to pay… that is learning, facing and coming to know our true selves. This can feel daunting at first, causing feelings of confusion, although as you will encounter this can be revitalising!

Consultation Meeting

At initial contact, the arrangement for a telephone session would be set and agreed. This would be at or around 30 minutes for the consultation process and, is free with no obligation to continue.

Standard Sessions

My standard 45-minute individual sessions for assessment and treatment is £50.

In certain circumstances it may be possible to discuss or negotiate session costs, on an individual basis where there is financial hardship. This can be discussed at the consultation meeting, if required.

Payment Methods

Cash or BACS payment only. I regret, currently there are no credit or debit payment facilities.

Cancellations

In the event of a cancellation 24 hours’ notice is required, and I will endeavour to find an alternative appointment should this be possible. If you do not attend your appointment or do not cancel before the 24-hour notice period, the full fee will be incurred (£50).

Repeat cancellations/non-attendance may result in the loss of your allocated session slot.
